Will a thicker mousepad fix an uneven desk?

Not really. The difference between 3mm and 5mm is negligible for cursor precision once you’re on any half-decent pad. The pad conforms to the desk’s shape regardless of thickness, so a thicker pad won’t level out a bump. Fix the desk itself or use a hard pad instead.
