Why is my robot vacuum cleaning the same room over and over?

The most likely reason is that your robot’s map is corrupt — it lost its map or never built a complete one. Mapping is the backbone of room-by-room cleaning; if it gets confused (e.g., you moved furniture, a sensor is dirty, or the battery died mid-run), the robot falls back to bumping around randomly. Start with a full reset of the mapping data, clean the sensors, and run a dedicated mapping cycle. A quick remap session usually fixes it.
