Why is my pool green?

Almost always algae. The quick fix is shock—superchlorinate with calcium hypochlorite or non-stabilized shock. Run your pump 24/7, brush walls and floor, and vacuum to waste if possible. Add a clarifier the next day if cloudy. The two main causes are low chlorine or high phosphates.
