Why does my robot vacuum keep disconnecting from Wi-Fi?

Your router is probably the problem. Robot vacuums almost always need 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, and modern routers often combine 2.4 and 5 GHz into one network name, confusing the vacuum. First, split the bands and give the 2.4 GHz network its own name. Distance and walls matter too—robot vacuums have tiny antennas and sit on the floor, so weak signal from a distant router or interference from microwaves or baby monitors can also cause drops.
