Why does my pool cleaner keep getting stuck on the main drain?

The main drain’s strong suction and your cleaner’s hose position cause it to get stuck. Fix it by adjusting the flow valve to reduce suction, redistributing hose floats to keep the hose buoyant near the drain, or checking hose length—too short or too long causes tangling. Also, replace shallow drain covers with a vortex plate to break suction. Dial back pressure or suction settings; more power just glues the cleaner to the drain.
