Which side of Niagara Falls is better for a first-time visit?

For the classic postcard view of the Horseshoe Falls, go to the Canadian side. The American side is quieter and more natural, but you’re mostly looking at the side of the big falls. If you only have one day, Canada gives you the full front-on view and the tourist experience.
