When should I apply sunscreen in my skincare routine?

Sunscreen goes last — after moisturizer. It needs to sit on top of your skin to form a proper protective film; putting moisturizer over it breaks up that film and reduces protection. Let your moisturizer absorb for a minute or two, then apply sunscreen, then makeup. The only exception is if your moisturizer already has SPF, but that usually isn’t enough on its own — layering a dedicated sunscreen on top is still the move.
