Smaller tanks mean more refills — it’s that simple. Most robot vacuums carry between 200ml (a teacup) and 750ml (a standard water bottle). For a small apartment, 200ml is fine. For anything bigger, you’ll want the larger end of that range unless you enjoy refilling mid-cycle.
