What matters more for gaming: RAM capacity or speed?

Capacity matters more. Upgrading from 8GB to 16GB eliminates stuttering from page file swapping, which is a night-and-day difference. RAM speed from 2666 to 3600 MHz only gives 5-10% more FPS in CPU-bound scenarios and won’t fix capacity-related stutter. Spend on capacity first.
