What is the only way to lower cyanuric acid (CYA) in a pool?

Partial drain and refill is the only way. Shock treatments, enzyme products, and “CYA reducers” are snake oil — the CYA molecule is stable and doesn’t break down. You have to physically remove over-stabilized water and add fresh water.
