What is the difference between LiDAR and gyroscopic navigation in robot vacuums?
LiDAR navigation creates a real-time map of your space, knows exactly where it is, and plans efficient cleaning paths without bumping into furniture. Gyroscopic navigation is a step above random bounce — it knows it turned but has no real idea where it is in relation to the room, so it bumps into things and takes longer to cover the floor. For complex floor plans with multiple rooms or narrow doorways, LiDAR is worth the upgrade.
