What is the correct oil-to-gas ratio for a modern two-stroke chainsaw?
Stick with 50:1 (one part oil to 50 parts gasoline, or about 2.6 ounces of oil per gallon) for almost all modern two-stroke chainsaws from Stihl, Husqvarna, Echo, and others. Too much oil fouls plugs and causes carbon buildup; too little oil risks engine seizure. Use a quality synthetic oil, mix in a gas can, and shake well.
