What is the best trick for keeping pollen out of a pool?

Use a skimmer sock or fine mesh net. Pollen floats on the surface, and a regular skimmer basket lets it slip through. A cheap skimmer sock catches fine particles before they sink and turn into algae food. Rinse or replace it daily during peak season.
