What causes slimy pool water and how do I fix it?

It’s almost always algae from low chlorine, high pH, or poor circulation. Fix it by testing water, shocking it per label, brushing surfaces, and running the filter 24 hours. Also check pH and alkalinity — if off, chlorine won’t work. Consider a phosphate remover if it keeps happening.
