What are the most important features for a beach cooler?

Rubber latches and a flat lid are the two most important features. Rubber latches don’t jam from sand and rinse off easily, while a flat lid lets you sit on it without sand collecting in grooves. Also look for a recessed drain plug and non-slip rubber feet. Skip wheels unless you’re dragging it over dunes.
