Was The Beatles' "Let It Be" originally called "Get Back"?

Yes. The album started as a scrapped project called Get Back, recorded in early 1969, then abandoned. A year later, Phil Spector reworked the tapes and renamed it Let It Be. The original Get Back concept was a back-to-basics live album, but it didn’t stick.
