Should I use hydrogen peroxide to treat pool algae?

No. Hydrogen peroxide breaks down fast in sunlight, requires a high and dangerous concentration to be effective, and costs more than standard pool algaecide. It also reacts with chlorine, wasting both chemicals. Use a proper algaecide or chlorine shock treatment instead.
