Probably. The base is loud, bulky, and requires expensive proprietary bags. Unless you have severe allergies, multiple shedding pets, or need to run the vac while away for days, the extra $100–200 and recurring cost aren’t worth it. Your arm works fine for the two minutes of emptying every few days.
