Should I paint just the spot or the whole wall when touching up paint?

Paint the entire wall from corner to corner, not just the spot. Even with the same paint can, the wall has faded from sunlight and cleaning, so a fresh dab will stand out. For a tiny nick, dab with a sponge to match roller texture, but otherwise do the whole wall to avoid noticing the difference.
