Should I daisy-chain extension cords?
No. Daisy-chaining extension cords is unsafe because it overloads the first cord’s wiring, increases resistance and voltage drop, and the first cord’s breaker can’t protect the second cord — leading to overheating, fire, or tripped breakers. Instead, use one extension cord long enough for your needs and plug a power strip with a built-in circuit breaker directly into a wall outlet. Never plug a power strip into an extension cord.
