Should I buy faster 16GB RAM or slower 32GB RAM for my build?

For gaming and everyday use, faster 16GB (e.g., DDR5-6000) beats slower 32GB because most people never use more than 16GB in a session, and speed improves frame rates and system snappiness. The exception is heavy video editing, virtual machines, or large data work—then 32GB matters more. For a budget gaming or general-use build, spend on faster 16GB since you can add more RAM later but can’t upgrade speed.
