Should I buy a mouse pad with a stitched edge or a glued/laser-cut edge?
Skip the stitched edge if you push your mouse to the edge of the pad. The raised lip catches the mouse and causes annoying stutters, which is worse than minor fraying. A glued or laser-cut edge holds up fine for most use, and you’d rather replace a slightly frayed pad every couple years than deal with daily irritation. Only buy a stitched pad if you never push your mouse past the center.
