Add a second identical 8GB stick if you can find one. Buying a whole new 2x8GB kit is throwing money away if your current stick is still good and you can match the speed and timings. Dual-channel gives you a noticeable boost for half the cost. If you can’t find an exact match, then buy a matched pair.
