Moisturizer with SPF vs separate sunscreen: Separate sunscreen wins for real protection
Moisturizer with SPF is better than nothing, but most people don’t apply enough to get the labeled protection — you need a nickel-sized blob for your face alone. SPF in moisturizers is usually lower (15-20) and often not broad spectrum, while separate sunscreen gives you SPF 30+ with UVA/UVB coverage and is easier to reapply. Just buy a separate sunscreen you actually like wearing.
