Yes, if you do memory-heavy work like multiple browsers with 50 tabs, virtual machines, video editing, or large datasets. If you just browse and write docs, you won’t notice the difference. The soldered RAM plus one stick creates an asymmetric dual-channel config, but you gain a lot of capacity. I’d take 40GB of mixed-channel over 16GB of perfect dual-channel any day.
