Is rinsing enough to prevent hard water damage in my mop?

Rinsing isn’t enough if you have hard water — it only slows the calcium buildup, not stops it. Distilled water eliminates the problem entirely and reduces maintenance to zero. If your tap water is hard, using distilled water is cheaper in the long run than replacing a clogged mop module.
