Is it easier to upgrade RAM on a desktop or a laptop?

Desktop RAM is way easier — open the side panel, line up the notch, and push until it clicks. Laptop RAM is doable but requires more care: tiny screws, prying clips, and sometimes disconnecting the battery. If your laptop has soldered RAM, you can’t upgrade it at all. Stick to desktops if you’re not comfortable with delicate electronics.
