Is DDR5 heat a real problem in mini-ITX builds?

Not really. DDR5 runs hotter than DDR4, but its thermal output is tiny compared to your CPU and GPU. Most modules don’t throttle until 85-95°C, and you’ll only hit that with extreme overclocking or zero airflow. Worry about your CPU cooler first.
