Is a play tent with a pop-up canopy good for backyard camping or backcountry use?

It’s great for backyard camping but not for the backcountry. The pop-up canopy gives you a shaded hangout that turns into a sleep shelter, and setup is quick enough for weeknights with impatient kids. It won’t survive a mountain storm, but it’s a perfect first-tent experience for the yard.
