How was Led Zeppelin's 'Rock and Roll' created?

It was born from a spontaneous jam at Headley Grange when John Bonham started playing the intro to Little Richard’s “Keep A-Knockin’” and the band fell in behind him. Jimmy Page said the song came together from the freedom of making music without knowing what was coming next, and you can hear that looseness in every bar.
