How should I store a cooler to prevent damage?

Clean it, dry it, leave the lid slightly open, and store it in a cool, dry place. Moisture trapped inside causes mold, and temperature swings warp plastic, so prop the lid open an inch or two with a rolled-up towel. Avoid direct sunlight and freeze-thaw cycles — a basement corner or shaded garage shelf works best. Don’t stack heavy stuff on top.
