How should I see the Winter Festival of Lights at Niagara Falls?

It is a self-guided route along the Niagara Parkway on the Ontario side, best seen by car or on foot. The best displays are at Dufferin Islands. No tickets, no reservations — just show up and donate at the exit if you can.
