Every 2-3 months is fine unless you have heavy pet hair or serious allergies. The manual may say monthly, but that’s mostly liability coverage. You’ll know it’s time when the vacuum sounds different or the bin fills faster. If the filter is washable, rinse and dry it between replacements to stretch its life.
