How often should I hose off my pool's cartridge filter?

Hose it off every 2–3 weeks during pool season, or when the pressure gauge climbs 8–10 PSI above the clean starting pressure. Shut off the pump, pull the cartridge, and spray from the inside out with a garden hose. Soak it in a pool filter cleaner every month or two to remove oils and scale.
