How do you winterize a pool with an automatic cover?

Pretty much the same as any pool, but you need to protect the cover’s motor and tracks. Drop the water level, blow out and plug the lines, drain equipment, and balance chemicals. Then disconnect the motor from power, cover it if exposed, lubricate tracks, and run the cover closed. Install a cover pump to prevent standing water from damaging the fabric or mechanism.
