How do I winterize a salt pool differently from a regular pool?

Clean the salt cell with a mild acid solution or purpose-built cleaner before closing, then remove and store it in a dry place like a garage or basement to prevent corrosion or cracking. Everything else is standard: lower water below the skimmer, blow out lines, add winterizing chemicals, and cover the pool. Protect the flow switch too.
