How do I stop cloth pad edges from fraying?

Finish edges before cutting fabric with a serger, overlock stitch, or short zigzag stitch. For existing pads, wash them in a mesh lingerie bag and air dry — or use low heat in the dryer. Use polyester or cotton-wrapped polyester thread, and leave at least half an inch seam allowance.
