How do I fix a "check cell" light on my salt cell?

Pull the cell out of the plumbing and look for white scale or calcium buildup. Mix 1 part muriatic acid to 4 parts water in a bucket (add acid to water), submerge the cell for 10-15 minutes until bubbling stops, rinse thoroughly, and reinstall. If the light stays on, the cell is dead and needs replacement.
