Hard shell case vs sleeve: Sleeve wins for cooling and scratch protection

Hard snap-on cases trap heat and can cause throttling in fanless MacBook Airs, while sleeves protect from scratches without blocking airflow during use. Just slide the laptop out when working. If you must use a case, look for vented designs, but a thin neoprene or felt sleeve from Tomtoc or WaterField is the smarter choice.
