ECC RAM vs non-ECC RAM: Latency difference is negligible for real-world use

The performance hit from ECC is tiny – typically 1–2% at the same frequency and timings, or about 1–3 nanoseconds. In games, rendering, or heavy multitasking, you won’t feel it. If you need ECC for stability, don’t worry about latency; just don’t mix ECC with non-ECC on the same board.
