Technically yes, but it’s a minor benefit. Modern SSDs handle hundreds of terabytes of writes before dying, so the wear from swapping is negligible unless you’re swapping gigabytes every minute. You’d replace the SSD for capacity or speed long before write endurance becomes an issue. The real reason to get more RAM is to avoid closing apps, not to protect the SSD.
