Do I need a special lip sunscreen, or is a regular SPF lip balm fine?

A regular SPF lip balm is fine. Any lip balm with SPF 30 or higher protects your lips from sunburn, and the “separate lip sunscreen” thing is mostly marketing. Just reapply after eating or drinking.
