Do heavy mousepads stay put better?
Yes, a heavy mousepad won’t slide around. The weight helps, but it’s really the rubber base that does the work — a thick rubber base (3-5mm) grips the surface and stays planted. Desk material matters too: on wood or matte surfaces, the rubber locks in place, but on smooth glass it still slides. If you play competitive shooters or do fast CAD work, spend the extra few bucks on a pad with a dense rubber base.
