Do ECC DIMMs last longer than non-ECC in a server?

No meaningful difference in lifespan. Both use the same DRAM chips with similar MTBF ratings (1–2 million hours). The extra parity chip in ECC adds a negligible failure point. Choose ECC for data integrity, not longevity.
