CYA reducers vs draining and refilling: Draining is the only reliable fix

CYA reducers are slow, finicky, and barely work, so draining and refilling is the real solution. High CYA makes chlorine useless, and the bacteria in those bottles won’t fix a truly high level. If you can’t drain fully, a partial drain (25–50%) is still better than wasting money on reducers.
