Clarifier vs flocculant: Clarifier for daily maintenance, flocculant for emergencies

Clarifier works slowly over 24-48 hours for slight haziness — just dump it in and let the filter run. Flocculant clears pea-soup water in a day but requires turning off the filter, waiting for particles to sink, and manually vacuuming. Flocculant doesn’t work with cartridge filters; clarifier works with all types. Neither works if pH or alkalinity is off.
