Can you get sunburned through a window or on a cloudy day?
Yes. Both. Standard glass blocks UVB rays but lets UVA rays through, so sitting in a sunny window can still cause burns, especially in cars or non-tinted glass. On cloudy days, up to 80% of UV radiation reaches the ground — UVA passes through easily, and thick clouds only cut some UVB. That’s why people get surprise burns on overcast days.
