Can I use two external monitors on a MacBook Air?

Only M2 and M3 MacBook Airs can drive two external displays, and only when the lid is closed. The M1 MacBook Air is stuck at one external monitor — period. If you need two externals with the lid open, you’ll need a DisplayLink adapter.
