Can I use DDR4 RAM on a DDR5 motherboard with an adapter?

No. The physical notch, voltage regulation, and CPU memory controller are all incompatible. No consumer adapter exists — anyone selling one is lying. Even a hypothetical adapter would add latency and instability, costing more than just buying new DDR5 RAM. Sell your DDR4 sticks and buy new RAM.
