Can I mix ECC and non-ECC RAM?

No. ECC and non-ECC RAM don’t work together even if the physical sticks fit. Consumer boards almost never support ECC, and mixing them is not a supported configuration. The system will either ignore the ECC stick, fail to POST, or become unstable. Stick with matching non-ECC sticks.
